IT Systems Engineer, Mobile Client Platform Engineer

Location: Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC. Remote-friendly, but all staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office attendance.

Annual salary: $285,000–$325,000 USD.

What you will do

• Design and launch a corporate-issued mobile device program, including device standards, regional rollout, and the coexistence model for managed devices and BYOD.
• Own global hardware logistics, including procurement partners, regional coverage, spares, and refresh cycles.
• Integrate mobile configuration into a GitOps, pull-request, CI, staging, and canary rollout pipeline.
• Build zero-touch enrollment for iOS and Android using Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, managed Apple accounts, and the Android equivalent.
• Manage device policy, compliance, lifecycle, telemetry, patch state, drift detection, and managed app distribution.
• Partner with Corporate Security on device posture, trust signals, and travel devices for international trips.

Requirements

• 8+ years managing corporate mobile fleets at a scale of thousands of devices, including ownership of a global or multi-region program.
• Deep iOS device-management expertise covering enrollment flows, Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, APNs, certificate lifecycle, and declarative device management.
• Working knowledge of Android device management and modern MDM/UEM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, or Workspace ONE.
• Experience running MDM infrastructure, including self-hosted servers, AWS or GCP, Terraform, configuration-as-code, GitOps, and CI.
• Experience building or launching a corporate device program, querying fleet state, automating enrollment and lifecycle operations, and working with endpoint security fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field; ability to work from a listed US office at least 25% of the time.

• Experience managing ChromeOS devices alongside mobile fleets.
• Experience operating multi-region device logistics and telemetry-gated progressive rollouts.
• Swift proficiency for device tooling.
• Experience using LLMs to automate operational work.
