Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer (ELK)

Location: O'Fallon, Illinois, supporting Scott Air Force Base

What you will do

• Gather, clean, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Design and maintain data infrastructure, transformation pipelines, and reusable data assets for the DISA enterprise.
• Build interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, and self-service analytics tools using Kibana and other visualization platforms.
• Apply visual design, layout, content organization, and accessibility principles to analytics interfaces.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and present them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document data models, business logic, transformation processes, and analytics workflows while collaborating with engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required; current Security+ certification is also required.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and other data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Grafana.
• Experience with cloud platforms, big data technologies, data governance, security, compliance, CI/CD, containerized pipelines, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of network routing devices and configurations, ELK-based text mining, Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies, and Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and deploying software in a DoD environment.
• DISA or DoD Networks experience.
