Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

What you will do

• Lead recurring technical working sessions with healthcare customers and translate evolving regulatory, organizational, and workflow needs into working solutions.
• Configure workflows, rules, forms, reports, user roles, permissions, data corrections, integrations, scripts, and small platform changes.
• Question requirements, select the simplest effective solution, and document designs, configurations, workarounds, and reusable decision trees.
• Partner with Customer Success Managers as the technical counterpart, provide advanced workflow education, and build trusted relationships with customer technical contacts.
• Collaborate with product and engineering by opening pull requests, reproducing issues, debugging code, and identifying root causes.
• Surface recurring customer patterns, write actionable bug reports and feature requests, and convert bespoke solutions into scalable product improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Technical Account Manager, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
• 4–5 years working with Azure, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with strong SQL and Azure SQL database management experience.
• Proficiency in C# and the ability to read codebases, debug issues, and write scripts or small features.
• Experience building non-trivial SaaS configurations, including workflows, rules, forms, reports, integrations, and role or permission structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, structured problem-solving, ownership, and the ability to lead technical sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience writing clear, well-scoped bug reports and feature requests, plus the ability to work effectively without a fixed playbook.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare IT, Employee Health, or occupational health.
• Familiarity with immunization tracking, credentialing workflows, OSHA requirements, or state health reporting.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, SQL or scripting for data investigation and fixes.
• Prior experience with Immuware or similar platforms such as Tyto Care, Equifax I-9, or Symplr.
