UABOS Turkey: Structural Engineer

hirify.global provides base operating support and civil engineering services for U.S. Air Force installations, including Incirlik Air Base and other bases in Turkey and Spain.

What you will do

• Maintain and update the NexGenIT software database or successor systems.
• Lead design project execution and manage design programs for facility and infrastructure projects.
• Perform structural analysis, prepare pathology reports, and develop solutions for structural deficiencies.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term installation plans, including space utilization and multi-discipline infrastructure planning.
• Prepare contracting packages, coordinate with AFCEC, USACE, NAVFAC, NATO, DLA, and other agencies, and oversee project execution.
• Conduct acceptance inspections, complete contract closeout documentation, and ensure submission of as-built drawings and manuals.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• At least 3 years of structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or architecture from an accredited institution, or an approved equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Training in Security Engineering UFC 4-010-01 and proficiency in antiterrorism standards for building design and engineering.
• English proficiency at Reading Level III, Written Level III, and Verbal Level III, plus a Class B passenger vehicle driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar software proficiency.
• DoD installation-level experience and familiarity with American and Turkish facility design standards.
• Experience with major real property facilities, capital projects, multi-discipline construction projects, contract schedules, and construction reports.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
