TL;DR
Tech Lead (Robotics): Building fleet deployment, testing infrastructure, fleet management platforms, and observability systems for physical AI robots deployed in industrial factories with an accent on OTA rollouts, hardware-in-the-loop testing, CI/CD, and field reliability. Focus on designing staged releases and rollback strategies, validating software through simulation and physical robots, and scaling telemetry, logging, and deployment systems across heterogeneous fleets.

What you will do

  • Architect fleet-wide deployment systems for OTA updates, versioned rollouts, staged and canary releases, rollbacks, and configuration management across heterogeneous robot hardware.
  • Design and build hardware-in-the-loop test reporting, simulation-based regression testing, and pre-deployment validation gates.
  • Build and evolve fleet management tooling, dashboards, and APIs for robot inventory, software and configuration versions, health state, and deployment status.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines and the delivery path from build artifacts to running processes on physical robots at remote sites.
  • Establish technical standards and conduct deep design and code reviews across deployment, testing, and DevOps.
  • Design logging infrastructure and visualization tooling while collaborating with engineering and research teams to improve development velocity.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering experience with Python and/or Rust/C++, including tooling and service development.
  • Experience building fleet or device management systems with OTA updates, versioning, staged rollouts, rollback strategies, and remote configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-attached software testing, hardware-in-the-loop systems, simulation-based regression suites, and CI/CD gates beyond unit tests.
  • Experience with observability for edge or field deployments, including telemetry pipelines, structured logging, and alerting.
  • Experience with Docker and edge-appropriate orchestration or agent frameworks for heterogeneous robot compute.
  • Track record of scaling deployment and testing infrastructure from ad hoc systems into reliable, repeatable processes.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to functional safety concepts for physical systems.
  • Background in electric vehicle OTA, industrial IoT, or similar field-reliability and fleet-management domains.
  • Experience scaling deployment and testing infrastructure.
