Location: Boston, MA; full-time hybrid

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

  • Collect, review, verify, and track IDs, caregiver certifications, MassHealth/MCO documentation, licenses, and clinical records such as 485s and LMNs.
  • Guide families, caregivers, and provider offices through documentation and onboarding by phone, fax, text, and email.
  • Check documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to help prevent denials.
  • Maintain AbbyOS and Salesforce V3 records, monitor expiring documents, and send timely reminders.
  • Handle approximately 50–70 inbound and outbound calls per day while maintaining empathy, professionalism, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with onboarding, credentialing, and family support teams while protecting patient and caregiver information under HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, administrative support, healthcare operations, patient advocacy, insurance coordination, or a similar healthcare support role.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicaid, and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Ability to manage high-volume calls and perform repetitive documentation tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, deadline management, and cross-checking of hours and dates across documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, professional approach to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Strong process improvement mindset and focus on operational efficiency.

Nice to have

  • Prior authorization experience and broader healthcare industry exposure.
  • Experience with Salesforce V3 and fax-based document workflows.
  • Spanish fluency.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Knowledge of medical and insurance authorization terminology.
