Software Engineer IV (Palantir Foundry)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; conditions list Birmingham, Alabama.

Salary: $75–$80 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance production solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform.
• Build data pipelines, transformations, applications, platform components, APIs, and system integrations.
• Develop platform components with Python and TypeScript.
• Support data-engineering workloads involving Databricks, AWS Glue, and related technologies.
• Address security requirements and vulnerabilities, troubleshoot platform issues, and perform functional and security validation.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, data engineers, and application teams to deliver production-ready changes.

Requirements

• At least five years of data-engineering or software-engineering experience.
• At least three years of substantial hands-on Palantir Foundry development experience building production solutions.
• Strong Python development experience and experience developing APIs and integrations.
• Experience with Foundry development tools, data pipelines, transformations, and platform components.
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry infrastructure, security, and modern data-engineering workflows.
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal platform training.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, Databricks, AWS Glue, or AWS cloud experience.
• Experience implementing security controls or resolving vulnerabilities in Palantir Foundry.
• Banking or financial-services experience.
