Software Engineer II (Fintech)

Location: Remote in the United States; role listed in Overland Park, Kansas

What you will do

• Design and implement secure, scalable fintech services supporting multiple financial products.
• Monitor and maintain high-availability services for critical payment functions.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing.
• Maintain production CI/CD pipelines and deploy modern web applications to cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, internal stakeholders, designers, and clients.
• Coach and empower teammates while contributing to technical and product direction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in Java and SpringBoot.
• Experience building secure, maintainable, and high-performance software.
• Experience integrating APIs and external web services.
• Experience with distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a distributed development team.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or Heroku.
• Fintech experience.
