Salary: $7,158.42–$10,292.25 CAD per month

MRI Research operates clinical MRI research facilities within the University of British Columbia’s Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine.
What you will do
- Coordinate daily MRI research operations, technical activities, staffing coverage, and relief support for the MRI Research Manager.
- Implement research projects, including study-specific training, MRI sequence development, protocol standardization, and reproducible data acquisition workflows.
- Supervise, guide, train, and provide feedback to MRI Technologists and non-technologist MRI personnel.
- Act as alternate MRI Safety Officer by monitoring compliance, updating safety procedures, and ensuring personnel are trained and authorized to operate equipment.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and service calls, manage supplies, maintain operational records, and prepare reports.
- Support PACS, virtual server archives, multicentre data uploads, confidentiality controls, quality improvement programs, and facility outreach activities.
Requirements
- CAMRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional designation, with at least 10 years of related experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory and leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of medical imaging theory and practice, CAMRT diagnostic imaging standards, radiology equipment safety, and hospital and radiology information systems.
- Experience with PACS, digital image archiving and retrieval, and clinical and research information systems.
- Ability to lead, teach, coach, mentor, develop protocols, implement projects, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively with researchers, healthcare staff, and external collaborators.
Nice to have
- Recent supervisory and leadership experience.
- Health Canada Good Clinical Practices and TCPS Core 2 certification.
- Basic Life Support or CPR certification.
- Knowledge of medical imaging practice within a research model.
