Senior Software Engineer (PNT)

Location: Onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States. No relocation assistance is available.

Basic compensation: $145,000–$175,000 annually for Beavercreek, Ohio.

What you will do

• Lead the development, integration, and evaluation of software for technical systems, simulations, and performance-analysis environments.
• Design and implement physics-based algorithms for measurement modeling, error characterization, and estimator behavior.
• Architect software frameworks and interfaces connecting software components with external systems.
• Integrate software with hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and digital-twin environments.
• Plan, execute, and analyze PNT-focused tests, experiments, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and document designs, algorithms, and test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience for technical systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Python, with experience owning complex software components or frameworks.
• Experience developing on Linux and Windows and integrating software with complex systems, simulations, or external hardware.
• Strong understanding of PNT concepts, including GNSS, inertial navigation, timing, sensor fusion, and related error sources.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with GPS/GNSS signal processing, navigation algorithms, or timing systems.
• Experience with resilient PNT approaches, modeling and simulation, digital twins, real-time or embedded systems, and HIL/SIL architectures.
• Experience with laboratory integration, field testing, DoD programs, R&D, or operational prototyping.
