Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Onsite)

Salary: $125,300–$175,000 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Plan, design, develop, integrate, and test embedded computing software and enhancements for DSP boards.
• Create and modify board support packages, device drivers, bootloaders, built-in tests, design verification software, and production test software.
• Develop software for Linux and VxWorks environments, including customized applications and simulation tools.
• Analyze requirements, develop design alternatives, and improve software development processes.
• Diagnose advanced defects and resolve customer-reported issues with cross-functional technical staff.
• Prepare software design documentation, test procedures, and user manuals.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Department of Defense clearance are required.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, with at least 10 years of experience.
• Hands-on C/C++ development experience with Linux, LynxOS, Wind River, VxWorks, device drivers, Bash or C shell, Python, LabVIEW, and IPMI.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Eclipse-based IDEs, AMD/Xilinx Vivado and Vitis, PetaLinux, GCC, CMake, Yocto, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Intel x86 processors, ARM, and AMD Zynq MPSoCs.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA, PCIe Gen3/4, SPI, I2C, RS232/RS422, IC datasheets, and board schematics.
