TL;DR
Asset Manager Assistant (IT Asset Management): Supporting on-site accountability, inventory, tracking, and movement of IT-related government equipment with an accent on DPAS and ASTS database maintenance, barcode control, and regulatory compliance. Focus on receiving and documenting equipment, preparing property forms, maintaining hand receipts, and conducting sensitive-item inventories.
Location: 100% onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, United States

What you will do
- Support asset management for IT-related nonexpendable, expendable, and durable government equipment.
- Receive equipment, verify deliveries, apply barcodes, and document assets in ASTS and DPAS or equivalent systems.
- Track asset barcodes, serial numbers, locations, hand receipts, and accountability records.
- Prepare DA Forms 2062 and DA Forms 3161 for purchases, transfers, transportation, turn-in, and disposal.
- Coordinate with the Installation Property Book Office and support annual hand-receipt updates.
- Conduct monthly 100% sensitive-item inventories and other inventories required by the government.
Requirements
- Current Secret clearance required before starting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and effective in-person, telephone, and written communication.
- No DoD 8570 IAT-level certification is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with DPAS.
- Experience with ASTS.
