Tech Lead, Engineering

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States — report to the TI Headquarters; remote work may be permitted.

Salary: $147,500 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and leadership for engineering teams delivering complex product initiatives.
• Drive technical execution, scope and prioritize work, and maintain project plans covering timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resources.
• Design, implement, and test scalable solutions across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Define requirements, success criteria, and delivery priorities with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders.
• Improve observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, health metrics, and dashboards.
• Lead production incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, deployment safety, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant engineering field, or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Full-stack web development experience, including modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience leading an engineering team or driving large-scale architectural changes across multiple teams.
• At least 4 years of experience building and operating production systems, troubleshooting complex production issues, and leading incident response and root cause analysis.
• At least 4 years of experience partnering with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and user needs.
• At least 4 years of experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and local development environments.
