Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Remote, Brazil

What you will do

• Conduct exploratory analysis, driver analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning for marketplace and pricing problems.
• Analyze pricing behavior, supply and demand, elasticity, conversion, and other marketplace signals.
• Design and analyze experiments and develop predictive models, forecasts, and optimization solutions.
• Improve data pipelines, analytical datasets, shared metric definitions, and data quality with Data Engineering and other technical teams.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations with Product, Engineering, Pricing, Availability, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development, deployment, monitoring, and improvement of production machine learning models and data science workflows.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field, including ownership of complex analytical projects.
• Strong experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, experimentation, forecasting, or optimization for business problems.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R, with experience working with large datasets and building reliable analytical datasets.
• Ability to structure ambiguous business problems, select appropriate analytical methods, and communicate practical recommendations.
• Strong business acumen and collaboration skills when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in Brazil for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production.
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML techniques, LLMs, or NLP.
• Experience with pricing, marketplaces, transportation, travel, e-commerce, logistics, or other complex supply-and-demand environments.
