Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid office-first model with employees required to work onsite at least four days per week.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 USD annually, plus potential bonus, stock options, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles.
• Perform variance analysis across actuals, budgets, and forecasts, explaining financial trends and risks.
• Build dynamic financial models for capital allocation, long-range planning, ROI analysis, market expansion, and product launches.
• Advise business units on performance, OpEx, headcount, and profitability alignment.
• Prepare board-ready reporting packages and internal management dashboards.
• Audit financial data and workflows, automate manual processes, shorten month-end reporting cycles, and document SOPs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or investment banking, preferably in a high-growth technology, AI, or infrastructure-heavy environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, nested logic, and macros.
• Experience with ERP/EPM systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and unit economics across diverse business lines.
• Experience using generative AI, LLMs, financial AI agents, or automated data analysis workflows for modeling and reporting.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into accurate executive-level narratives and manage multiple high-priority deliverables under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
