Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Onsite in New York, United States; all full-time roles work in person from the SoHo office.

What you will do

• Own team outcomes from problem definition and technical design through launch and measurable business impact.
• Write and review production code, lead architecture decisions, and solve the hardest ambiguous problems.
• Hire, source, sell, close, and onboard engineers while maintaining the team’s hiring bar.
• Grow and mentor engineers through clear expectations and direct feedback.
• Work directly with providers, biopharma partners, and operations teams to understand user needs.
• Advance the team’s use of AI and experiment with more productive software development methods.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience and a record of shipping products used by real customers.
• 2+ years leading engineers, with ownership of delivery and team health alongside a strong individual contributor background.
• Full-stack experience building and operating backend systems and the interfaces on top of them.
• Demonstrated success recruiting strong engineers and personally selling roles to candidates.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into clear, structured, shipped solutions with minimal guidance.
• Experience moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and delivering against demanding goals.
