Plant Work Technician

Location: Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada; onsite plant work

Salary: CAD 25.75 per hour to start

What you will do

• Plant, prune, trellis, defoliate, harvest, trim, and manicure cannabis plants in production grow rooms.
• Support propagation through cloning, transplanting, and early-stage plant care.
• Inspect plants for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor irrigation systems and maintain records of plant growth, environmental conditions, and treatments.
• Sanitize grow and trim rooms and organize plant supplies and tools.
• Follow safety protocols, SOPs, GMP requirements, and cannabis regulations while coordinating with QA, propagation, and post-harvest teams.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with people at all organizational levels.
• Strong physical ability, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive work with the hands, wrists, and forearms.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and after hours as required.
• Medical screening is required during the recruitment process; the role involves significant exposure to cannabis and plant materials.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in agriculture or horticulture.
• Previous experience in manufacturing.
