Security Engineer (AI)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 base salary per year, plus annual bonus incentive and potential equity purchase program participation.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Senior Security Engineer to scope, design, implement, validate, and document security initiatives.
• Administer and tune endpoint detection and response, endpoint management, device compliance, email security, cloud access, network monitoring, data loss prevention, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Secure AWS and Microsoft Azure/Entra ID infrastructure through identity and access management, logging, monitoring, network controls, encryption, key management, and configuration baselines.
• Monitor and interpret security, IT, and cloud logs; route appropriate telemetry to centralized logging and SIEM systems.
• Respond to MDR alerts, escalations, cyber security threats, and data breaches as part of an on-call rotation.
• Create and test incident response procedures, apply security frameworks to new systems, and use AI tools to reduce manual work in log review, documentation, scripting, evidence preparation, and alert triage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Information Security Analyst, Risk Analyst, Security Engineer, Information Security Engineer, or in a similar role; healthcare security experience is preferred.
• Experience managing HITRUST and HIPAA requirements and working with auditors.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance and automate security processes and procedures.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, JAMF, Meraki, and JIRA Service Management.
• Knowledge of access control, confidential data, encryption, business continuity, vulnerability scanning, and cloud services.
• Ability to lead technical responses to security incidents and data breaches; relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC, or AWS Security Specialty are applicable.
