Security Engineer (AI)

Location: United States — Remote

Base salary: $105,000–$123,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and optimize technical controls that detect and prevent security incidents.
• Develop custom detection logic, integrate threat intelligence, automate security operations with SOAR, and design agentic AI security playbooks.
• Contribute to and lead incident response efforts, including tabletop exercises.
• Partner with teams across the company to integrate security practices into products and processes.
• Conduct thesis-driven threat hunts across forensic data lakes.
• Participate in a reasonable, shared rotational on-call schedule and continue professional development through dedicated work time and training.

Requirements

• 3+ years of information security or software development experience.
• Experience securing cloud-native environments and working with endpoint detection and response.
• Knowledge and experience in digital forensics and incident response.
• Ability to build automation with Go, Python, or shell scripting; familiarity with macOS or Linux is valued.
• Ability to work independently across multiple simultaneous workstreams, with strong problem-solving, investigative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Systems.
