Engineering Manager, Cost Intelligence

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers while fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Own the technical vision and execution for Cost Intelligence features covering cost allocation, resource budgeting, anomaly detection, and optimization recommendations.
• Define technical strategy for scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and APIs that provide cost and usage insights.
• Manage delivery end to end, from planning and design reviews through launch, iteration, and customer feedback.
• Partner with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and engineering teams to deliver integrations and customer outcomes.
• Represent the team in broader technical discussions and contribute to engineering-wide best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, data engineering, or cloud-native backend development.
• Experience defining and executing multi-quarter technical roadmaps while balancing delivery and platform health.
• Experience building cost management, budgeting, billing, or FinOps tools in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Experience with anomaly detection, time-series analysis, or ML-driven cost optimization products.
• Strong communication, hiring, talent development, and hands-on system design skills; BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
