Goods In Assistant

Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom — on-site. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week; occasional shift or weekend work may be required.

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, process and record incoming goods, materials and samples in line with procedures and quality standards.
• Store, handle and dispatch samples, equipment and materials to clients, vessels, laboratories and hirify.global locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through stock control systems, routine checks and documentation updates.
• Support sample sorting, packaging, transfer, storage and disposal.
• Coordinate logistics with laboratory teams, couriers and site personnel.
• Maintain a safe, organised warehouse and help resolve inventory, shipment and delivery discrepancies under QHSSE standards.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, organisation skills and accurate record-keeping.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Basic computer literacy and confidence with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow procedures, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to perform manual handling and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Forklift truck licence.
