Capital Officer (Fintech)

Location: United States; hybrid in New York or fully remote within the US

Salary: $270,000–$400,000 USD annually, based on experience and US location.

What you will do

• Build and own the capital planning and management framework, including forecasting, allocation, governance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Develop funding and liquidity strategies for different business and market conditions.
• Assess current and future capital needs and translate business strategy, performance, and external conditions into actionable capital plans.
• Lead stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to identify vulnerabilities and management actions.
• Partner with Finance, Risk, Legal, and senior business leaders on capital deployment, funding requirements, and balance sheet optimization.
• Establish scalable frameworks, analytics, reporting systems, governance, and operating processes for capital management.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience within a leading financial institution, including capital management, treasury, balance sheet management, funding, or liquidity.
• Hands-on experience developing capital forecasts, evaluating capital needs, and creating capital management frameworks.
• Substantial experience in funding, liquidity, and balance sheet management within complex financial services businesses.
• Extensive experience with stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis.
• Strong financial and commercial judgment, senior stakeholder influence, and the ability to build sophisticated frameworks in fast-moving organizations.
