What you will do

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of aerospace parts, assemblies, tooling, equipment, and marketing materials.
  • Schedule domestic and international freight with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Package, palletize, label, and prepare shipments, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations, and certificates of origin.
  • Track deliveries, resolve transportation issues, and support manufacturing schedules by ensuring materials arrive on time.
  • Receive incoming materials, verify them against purchase orders and packing documentation, and maintain accurate ERP/MRP inventory records.
  • Make local deliveries and collect materials from suppliers using a company vehicle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of logistics, shipping and receiving, or supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for deemed export licensing because the role involves access to U.S.-controlled information and items.

Nice to have

  • Hazardous materials shipping certification under 49 CFR, IATA, or IMDG.
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing and ITAR import/export experience.
  • Knowledge of HTS, Schedule B, and Incoterms.
  • Experience with ocean carriers, drayage companies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, WMS, barcode scanners, and inventory control software.
  • Experience operating forklifts, stand-up reach equipment, pallet jacks, and related dock equipment.
