R&D Fab Process Engineer (Dry Etch)

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, USA; onsite at 4380 Ziegler Road.

Salary: USD 91,100–146,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Develop and sustain new and enabling dry etch processes for MEMS production.
• Develop processes for new materials and applications, optimize them, establish robust controls, and transfer them into high-volume manufacturing.
• Support existing volume manufacturing and new technology development programs.
• Design experiments, analyze data, and support process changes and manufacturing improvements.
• Identify and resolve yield and defect issues and communicate results across the organization.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and equipment maintenance groups while mentoring and learning from colleagues.

Requirements

• BSc or higher in EE, ME, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry and 5+ years of experience. An MSc or higher is preferred with 3+ years of experience.
• Manufacturing experience as a Dry Etch Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of dry etch fundamentals and manufacturing, including the ability to use etch literature and reference materials.
• Experience developing and maintaining controlled etch processes for new technology requirements.
• Strong statistical process control, documentation, analytical, problem-solving, experimental design, and DOE skills.
• Ability to use data to develop robust solutions, multitask, adapt, take ownership, and learn independently.
• Ability to work dynamically and collaborate with engineering, operations, and equipment maintenance teams to deliver results on time.
