Process Support Engineer IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; on-site customer support and installations; travel required 20% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year.

What you will do

• Provide customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, service, and repair of complex semiconductor systems and equipment.
• Develop leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes with customers and optimize equipment for their needs.
• Create hypothesis experiments and designs of experiments, analyze data statistically, and prepare reports with high-level conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process engineering and customer product issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement solutions.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to build relationships, establish trust, and achieve project goals.
• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and liaison between customers and the business unit; lead functional teams or projects when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of dry etch experience in a semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• Strong leadership skills to guide others in problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate difficult concepts and explain new viewpoints to project stakeholders.
• English communication proficiency.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
