What you will do

  • Lead the US Rare Blood Disorders Medical Affairs team and deliver medical priorities across the portfolio and pipeline.
  • Create and execute US medical strategies in collaboration with Global Medical, R&D, Drug Safety, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, medical associations, payers, and authorities.
  • Lead local data generation, insights gathering, medical education, and data dissemination activities.
  • Oversee scientific and medical content review, compliance, risk management, and the franchise medical budget.
  • Build team engagement and performance by attracting, developing, and retaining talent.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree such as MD, PhD, or PharmD.
  • At least 15 years of Medical Affairs experience, including at least 7 years leading a medical function.
  • At least 10 years leading high-performing teams with a proven talent-development record.
  • Experience developing and executing medical strategies, building KOL networks, managing safety issues, and working in complex international matrix organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical, regulatory, and legal standards relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, including FDA, OIG, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Advanced training or certification in Hematology.
  • Medical Affairs experience in Rare Hematology.
  • Entrepreneurial vision, strong execution, negotiation, networking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, project, time, budget, and resource allocation abilities.
