TL;DR
Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison, Hematology, West Region (Hematology): Building regional KOL engagement, speaker bureau, and healthcare-provider education programs supporting the treatment of warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia, with an accent on hematology expertise, commercial strategy, and compliant cross-functional collaboration. Focus on developing academic institution and health-system relationships, identifying access and growth opportunities, and coordinating complex KOL advocacy and speaker initiatives.

Location: Field-based in the US West region; locations include Arizona, California, and Texas. The role is available in any city within the region, includes remote work, and requires 60–70% travel.

Base pay: $137,000–$235,750 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentive program.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain relationships with national and regional hematology key opinion leaders.
  • Develop KOL profiles, engagement plans, influence maps, and commercial target lists.
  • Coordinate congress participation, advisory boards, product-theater speakers, and commercial KOL initiatives.
  • Manage speaker identification, contracting, training, coaching, utilization, and program compliance.
  • Deliver education opportunities for healthcare providers focused on warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia treatment and disease management.
  • Develop academic institution and health-system relationships, identify access and growth opportunities, and execute advocacy strategies with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in hematology, rare disease, or a related industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical liaison work, thought leader management, key account management, or clinical sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams directly and indirectly and analyze complex business situations.
  • Strong scientific, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work remotely from the US West region and travel 60–70%. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliant healthcare-provider interactions is required.

Nice to have

  • Advanced health science degree.
  • Marketing or clinical experience in hematology, rare disease, or a related therapeutic area.
  • Experience learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
