TL;DR
Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison, Hematology, East Region (Hematology/Rare Disease): Building regional KOL engagement, speaker bureau, and healthcare provider education programs for warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia with an accent on compliant commercial collaboration, academic health-system access, and treatment education. Focus on developing KOL strategies, navigating complex institutional and formulary challenges, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives across the East region.

Location: Field-based in the U.S. East region, including Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The role requires 60%–70% travel and supports remote work.

Salary: $137,000–$235,750 annual base pay, plus performance-based bonus and long-term incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain relationships with national and regional hematology key opinion leaders.
  • Develop KOL profiles, engagement plans, influence maps, and commercial target lists.
  • Coordinate congresses, advisory boards, speaker recruitment, training, utilization, and program facilitation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, Medical Science Liaisons, and other cross-functional partners on compliant commercial initiatives.
  • Identify access, policy, formulary, growth, and risk opportunities across academic institutions and health systems.
  • Deliver education supporting healthcare providers in the management and treatment of warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in hematology, rare disease, or a related industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical liaison, thought leader management, key account management, or clinical sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams directly and indirectly, analyze complex business situations, and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong scientific, communication, presentation, organizational, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and compliant interactions with healthcare providers; willingness to travel 60%–70%.

Nice to have

  • Advanced health science degree.
  • Marketing or clinical experience in hematology, rare disease, or a related therapeutic area.
  • Experience learning and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
