TL;DR
Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (Qlik/Tableau/Power BI): Designing data models, reports, and dashboards that transform complex operational data into actionable insights, with an accent on large-scale data warehouses and modern BI development. Focus on building full-lifecycle BI solutions, troubleshooting complex data and reporting issues, and migrating an existing data lake to a new cloud platform.
Location: USA remote with up to 10% travel to client and customer locations in Massachusetts.
Salary: $101,000–$138,600 per year, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do
- Design and build data models based on reporting requirements, data sources, and mapping specifications.
- Develop interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Provide technical guidance on BI tools and analytical concepts across reporting projects.
- Partner with business stakeholders on project planning, estimates, resources, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues using advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Support migration of the existing data lake to a new cloud platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of business intelligence and analytics experience with interactive dashboards, QlikView, Tableau, NoSQL, and big data.
- Hands-on experience designing large databases and data warehouses, including logical and physical design.
- Experience across the full BI solution lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, data marts, and ETL.
- Experience creating technical and functional design documents, test plans, gap analyses, and source-to-target mappings in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Valid driver’s license required for client and customer travel.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Python, Scala, and open-source data tools.
- Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Experience with wholesale or retail industry systems, including procurement, merchandising, finance, warehouse, or retail.
