Corporate IT and Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Francisco or New York; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 base salary plus equity

Growing software company building its corporate IT and security foundation across employees, systems, and internal operations.

What you will do

• Own employee IT across laptops, mobile devices, identity, access, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Configure and manage MDM, SSO, MFA, endpoint and email security, SaaS applications, and corporate networks.
• Run security operations including monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, remediation, and access reviews.
• Operate SOC 2 controls, collect evidence, prepare for audits, and coordinate with external auditors and security partners.
• Lead vendor security reviews, respond to customer security questionnaires, and track application-security findings through remediation.
• Build automations for IT, security, and compliance workflows while helping employees adopt AI tools with appropriate access, privacy, and data controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience across corporate IT, systems administration, information security, security operations, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with identity providers, SSO, MFA, MDM, endpoints, enterprise SaaS, employee provisioning, asset management, and access reviews.
• Experience operating in a primarily macOS environment and supporting onboarding and offboarding workflows.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 programs, including control operation, evidence collection, and audit coordination.
• Working knowledge of network security, endpoint security, incident response, vulnerability management, vendor risk, threat modeling, penetration testing, and secure development practices.
• Ability to automate workflows with scripting, APIs, or modern automation tools and work directly across Engineering, People, and Operations.

Nice to have

• Experience as an early IT or security hire at a growing software company.
• Experience in fintech or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Kandji, Rippling, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Drata, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud identity and security in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with AI-driven internal operations and managed IT, compliance, or security providers.
