Head of Corporate IT & Security (AI Governance)

Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off, and other perks.

What you will do

• Set the corporate IT strategy and build the operating model for support intake, prioritization, escalation, and documentation.
• Define global IT standards while partnering with US and UK Field IT teams across stores and offices.
• Establish security fundamentals covering identity, access, endpoint security posture, and incident readiness.
• Own MDM and endpoint standards, including provisioning, compliance, refresh cycles, and secure configuration baselines.
• Consolidate SaaS tools, manage vendors and budgets, and improve cost and risk controls.
• Develop onboarding and offboarding processes, security training, self-service playbooks, and AI usage governance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Corporate IT, IT Operations, Security, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with identity and access management and endpoint management through MDM.
• Experience consolidating SaaS tools and managing vendors and budgets.
• Experience operating across multiple sites and geographies, including the US and UK.
• Experience building or scaling an IT function from the ground up rather than only maintaining an existing one.
• Strong security and risk mindset with the ability to communicate, train, and influence store teams and executives.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tool governance and policy development.
• Background in retail, hospitality, or multi-site consumer businesses.
