Head of IT and Security (AI)

hirify.global Technologies is building quantum-accelerated AI servers to address rising compute and energy costs, creating the infrastructure for quantum superintelligence.

What you will do

• Own the security roadmap, including zero trust, endpoint protection, and compliance readiness.
• Manage corporate IT operations, including MFA, IdP, MDM, and workstation lifecycle management.
• Oversee physical security systems and technical business continuity policies.
• Establish governance and policies for the use of AI tools within the organization.
• Act as a player-coach, managing external contractors and growing the internal IT and security team.
• Maintain documentation and manage vendor relationships to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Ann Arbor, MI.
• Experience building or maturing IT and security functions at a small, fast-growing company, ideally in hardware or deeptech.
• Proven track record of taking a company to SOC 2 compliance from scratch.
• Deep expertise in identity management (IdP/SSO) and zero trust architectures (e.g., Cloudflare, Zscaler).
• Proficiency in managing Apple-primary fleets using MDM solutions like Jamf or Kandji.
• Experience leading small teams or directing contractors in a player-coach capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience with export control policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with SIEM and EDR tooling in a physical and cloud infrastructure context.
