Sr Manager Controllership- US

Location: United States; hiring anywhere within the US, with Eastern or Central locations preferred. Employees living within 40 km (25 miles) of a DXC office are expected to work onsite at least two days per week.

What you will do

• Lead the development and application of consistent global revenue recognition policies with reference to US GAAP.
• Review customer arrangements and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 and related standards.
• Partner with Pricing, Finance, Contracts, and Legal stakeholders to structure contracts that support revenue recognition objectives.
• Review and approve revenue treatment documentation, including documentation for complex transactions.
• Work with controllership teams and auditors on revenue dispositions and support existing deals with revenue recognition queries.
• Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and support for strategic revenue assurance initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• Degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of finance experience focused on revenue recognition, especially ASC 606.
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the ability to research Accounting Standards Codification.
• Strong analytical, communication, influencing, teamwork, business, and spreadsheet skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Good project management skills and the ability to work independently with accountability.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or accounting certification, such as CPA or MBA.
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842.
