Project Engineer (High Voltage)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia. Hybrid working arrangement.

What you will do

• Develop and review detailed electrical designs for high-voltage substations, including switchgear, transformers, protection, and control systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and project documentation aligned with IEEE, IEC, and project requirements.
• Define project scope and deliverables while supporting planning and scheduling with project managers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary electrical, civil, and mechanical activities with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Support procurement, resolve execution issues, and oversee on-site installation, testing, safety, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in electrical engineering projects, preferably involving high-voltage systems or substations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and IEEE and IEC industry standards.
• Project management skills covering scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
• Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to quality and safety.

Nice to have

• Professional electrical engineering certification such as PE or an equivalent qualification.
