Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) - Trading Platforms

Location: Must reside in the metro Chicago area, USA; approximately 10% travel and onsite customer support are required.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 base pay annually, plus potential bonuses, equity, and sales commissions.

What you will do

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for financial services and trading customers and partners.
• Own pre- and post-sales technical relationships across the assigned territory and customer base.
• Gather requirements, identify opportunities, and support network architecture and solution design.
• Facilitate product training, demonstrations, technical presentations, and quarterly business reviews.
• Execute proofs of concept, customer testing, lab research, and onsite technical support.
• Create technical marketing materials and collaborate with product management, software development, partners, and support teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of networking design and implementation experience.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, network architecture, and design.
• Experience with data center, campus, Wi-Fi, and security solutions for financial services customers.
• Strong presentation, selling, communication, customer relationship, and problem management skills.
• Experience creating technical materials such as presentations, white papers, battle cards, and solution guides.
• Must reside in the metro Chicago area and be able to support onsite customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with network overlays and virtualization.
• Experience building network automation with Python and Ansible.
• Arista Cloud Engineer certification at ACE level 3–5.
• Knowledge of competitive networking products, solutions, and services.
