Commercial Banking Trainee

Location: Wilmington, DE; onsite for the first 12–18 months. Travel within the bank's footprint or to other offices may be required.

Salary: $42,289–$69,475 per year, plus potential incentive and retention awards.

What you will do

• Analyze commercial loan customers and real estate projects for financial and business risks.
• Review balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, tax returns, and personal and business bureau data.
• Assess industry and market risks and support commercial loan underwriting.
• Prepare credit memorandums, financial spreadsheets, and relationship and profitability analyses.
• Support Relationship Managers serving businesses with $2.5–$100 million in revenue and real estate transactions with $1–$15 million in credit exposure.
• Complete an extensive training program combining external classroom instruction with on-the-job training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience supporting commercial loan underwriting and analyzing client financial statements and tax returns.
• Strong analytical, oral, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship from hirify.global.
