Senior Pre-Construction Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada office; hybrid work model

Salary: CAD 130,000–150,000 per year, excluding benefits and potential bonuses

Independent renewable energy producer developing, acquiring, owning, and operating hydroelectric, wind, solar, and energy storage facilities across Canada, the United States, France, and Chile.

What you will do

• Lead pre-construction activities from early development through advanced development and project readiness.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction and engineering activities for complex renewable energy projects.
• Develop construction and operations cost estimates, class estimates, contingencies, and pre-construction risk registries.
• Implement project governance tools, including cost controls, schedules, risk matrices, and project execution plans.
• Develop construction strategies and coordinate handovers between development, construction, and operations.
• Coordinate construction due diligence for portfolio acquisitions and maintain information flow across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• 7–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience developing or constructing wind and solar projects in the United States and/or Canada.
• Strong project management skills and an understanding of renewable energy project development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient spoken and written English; proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Specialization in wind and solar energy.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Energy storage experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and GlobalMapper.
