Sr. Integration Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Design, develop, validate, and support scalable interfaces between hirify.global and hospital EHR systems, including Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
• Lead customer-facing architecture discussions with health system IT, interface, network, clinical documentation, coding, and implementation stakeholders.
• Own integrations end to end, covering specifications, data mapping, configuration, testing, go-live planning, production stabilization, and support.
• Lead data validation and reconciliation while designing monitoring, alerting, traceability, replay strategies, and operational runbooks.
• Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for complex production issues, including participation in an after-hours Tier 3 support rotation.
• Automate implementation and validation workflows and advise product and engineering teams on schemas, data contracts, interoperability standards, and integration tooling.

Requirements

• 7+ years building, deploying, and supporting hospital-based HL7v2 interfaces at scale.
• Advanced experience with interface engine architecture and operations, including modular design, maintainability, performance, and supportability.
• Experience with scalable EHR database extraction, performance tuning, indexing, and downstream data validation.
• Significant experience enabling FHIR R4 APIs and resources and SMART on FHIR workflows.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript or Python for message transformation or workflow automation, plus SQL for validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of secure data transfer practices and standards, including TLS, HTTPS, and VPN configuration, with strong executive communication and stakeholder leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Epic integration experience with Bridges, Interconnect, Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Chronicles, Caboodle, or Cogito.
• Advanced Rhapsody architecture and operations experience.
• Experience with flat-file and X12 EHR data transfers via SFTP.
• Clinical informatics experience or health IT credentials such as HL7, FHIR, Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, or EHR certifications.
• Participation in HL7 or FHIR working groups, contributions to open-source healthcare integration tools, or experience in an early-stage technology company.
