Senior Engineer, Telephony (Five9)

Location: Remote - Nationwide (United States); travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required based on business needs.

Salary: $92,400–$138,600 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize Five9 Contact Center and Five9 VCC environments.
• Configure contact flows, routing strategies, custom scripts, APIs, desktop integrations, and third-party application integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and present solution designs and prototypes.
• Build Power BI dashboards, reports, KPI views, DAX queries, and multidimensional data models from telephony and business data.
• Perform upgrades, patches, audits, performance assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide after-hours support through on-call rotations and troubleshoot critical telephony incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Five9 VCC, Admin Console, Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RTP, TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and related telephony protocols.
• Experience with RESTful/SOAP web services, Java/REST APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth, SQL, Postman, and Git.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks, Power Automate, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and data warehouse concepts.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or PHP, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Five9 VCC and/or Five9 Studio certification.
• Experience with scripting and automation for telephony provisioning and management.
