Associate / Senior Associate, Operations Transformation (Asset Management)

Location: Newport Beach, California, United States

Salary: $82,000–$105,000 base salary annually, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Own daily reconciliations and investigate breaks across positions, cash, transactions, tax lots, P&L, and related investment data.
• Perform root-cause analysis and partner with internal teams, Technology, and external providers to reduce recurring breaks.
• Monitor aged and high-risk breaks, escalate issues, and communicate metrics, risks, and resolution status.
• Support control standards, procedure documentation, process improvements, change initiatives, and system migrations.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of operations, back-office, or reconciliation experience in asset management or investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of IBOR, portfolio accounting, cash, positions, P&L, performance, fund accounting, and reference-data impacts.
• Experience with multiple asset classes, including fixed income, derivatives, and cash products.
• Strong analytical, communication, and ownership skills in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced Excel and reconciliation-platform skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, Power BI, or Alteryx.
