CD&A - Director of Commercial Forecasting, Obesity

Location: Flexible commuter role in Thousand Oaks, California, United States; on-site at least 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead short- and long-term commercial forecasting for brands and portfolio assets in the Obesity business unit.
• Prepare and present portfolio-level forecast updates for senior leadership.
• Build consensus among Commercial, R&D, Medical, Finance, Manufacturing, Access, and Pricing/Contracting stakeholders.
• Identify market, competitor, risk, and opportunity insights that inform commercial strategy.
• Apply scenario planning, Monte Carlo analysis, statistical trending, and pharmaceutical data sources to improve forecasting methodologies.
• Mentor and develop a forecasting team while improving productivity and streamlining forecasting processes.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of forecasting experience in biopharma, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals; or a master’s degree and 7 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience.
• Experience developing forecasts and strategic insights for pharmaceutical or biotechnology markets.
• Ability to influence and establish credibility with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site in the Thousand Oaks office at least 2–3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience standardizing processes and introducing innovative forecasting methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources such as LAAD, National Audit Rx, Xponent, and epidemiology data.
