Associate Director, Competitive Intelligence - Immunology

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $141,500–$268,500 base pay annually

What you will do

• Lead competitive intelligence strategy for the immunology therapeutic area and support international brand teams.
• Analyze healthcare dynamics, commercial, clinical, scientific, and competitive information to identify market drivers and disruptive forces.
• Plan and execute primary and secondary research, synthesize findings, and communicate strategic implications.
• Coordinate competitive intelligence activities at approximately 2–3 international and US scientific conferences annually.
• Partner with brand teams, medical, clinical, access, regulatory, market research, and affiliate stakeholders.
• Manage external vendors, budgets, timelines, compliance, and the ongoing development of competitive intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a life science or related degree is advantageous.
• 7–9 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial or strategy roles, or management consulting, including 3+ years in competitive intelligence.
• Strong knowledge of research tools and techniques, including secondary data sources and healthcare market trends.
• Excellent analytical reasoning, business acumen, communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Expertise in PowerPoint and executive-level presentations.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional, global, and affiliate teams in highly matrixed environments.

Nice to have

• Global immunology experience.
• MBA or related graduate degree.
• Master’s degree or PhD in a life science discipline.
