Field Support Calibration Technician/Engineer

Location: Koeln, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany; onsite work at customer locations across Germany with extensive travel required.

What you will do

• Perform onsite calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and basic repair of electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Calibrate general-purpose and RF instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and multifunction calibrators.
• Apply ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, measurement uncertainty principles, and quality standards.
• Create calibration records, certificates, labels, and service documentation using internal systems and calibration management software, including MET/CAL.
• Manage onsite calibration projects safely and efficiently while providing customer support and technical guidance.
• Improve calibration procedures and quality processes, with the opportunity to assume future coordination and supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Metrology, Measurement Technology, or a related technical field.
• Several years of experience in electrical or electronic test and measurement calibration.
• Hands-on experience calibrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing a broad range of electronic test and measurement instruments.
• Strong knowledge of metrology, ISO/IEC 17025, measurement uncertainty, and quality management systems.
• Experience with calibration software and automation tools; familiarity with MET/CAL is preferred.
• Fluent German and English, willingness to travel extensively to customer sites, and readiness to develop toward future leadership responsibilities.
