AV Field Engineer (M/W/D) - Stuttgart, Germany (Automotive)

Location: On-site in Stuttgart, Germany; the role includes office work, vehicle production-line and integration-facility support, long test drives, and travel to local cities and abroad projects.

What you will do

• Act as the technical liaison between hirify.global, automotive customers, OEMs, and Tier 1 integration partners.
• Install and operate hirify.global evaluation systems on prototype vehicles, including mechanical assembly, electrical connections, network configuration, operating-system setup, and version deployment.
• Debug multidisciplinary hardware, software, computer, operating-system, and protocol-based device failures.
• Perform and supervise open-road and test-track drives, including long-distance testing.
• Test and validate end-to-end autonomous-driving functionality and prepare expert reports.
• Support customer demonstrations and collaborate with AV development, validation, and algorithm teams.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in electrical engineering, exact science, or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing support, field engineering, or a similar role.
• Linux experience and strong hardware and software systems understanding.
• Hands-on installation experience, including assembly, wiring, and soldering.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting computers, operating systems, and protocol-based devices; familiarity with OBD2, multimeters, oscilloscopes, battery analyzers, and sniffers.
• Fluent German and English, both verbal and written; a valid driving license and advanced driving courses for test vehicles are required.
