System Test Engineer (RF)

Location: Siegen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany; mostly onsite with four days per week at the Siegen location

What you will do

• Execute and develop validation and characterisation protocols for RF systems.
• Own RF testing and validation activities for components and subsystems throughout prototyping, integration, debugging, and validation.
• Develop, characterise, debug, and optimise high-frequency hardware systems in advanced laboratory environments.
• Contribute technical validation insights to next-generation quantum computing platforms.
• Improve laboratory infrastructure, RF testing methodologies, and automation workflows.
• Support quantum computing platform validation and operations with hands-on RF expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment, including VNA, spectrum analyser, oscilloscope, and signal generator.
• Strong understanding of RF testing, validation, characterisation, and debugging methodologies for electronic systems.
• Excellent organisational skills and a structured, analytical working style with strong ownership and execution focus.
• Fluent English required.
• Right to work in Germany is addressed as part of the application process.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or a similar high-level scripting language for data analysis.
• Experience with RF design.
