Senior Developer, Investment Accounting (Java)

Location: Newport Beach, California, USA; onsite

Salary: $168,000–$240,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Develop software that captures trading transactions and calculates positions for the investment accounting and positions platform.
• Build and enhance systems across on-premises infrastructure and AWS, including a next-generation IBOR.
• Design efficient solutions for hedge fund business needs and complex financial technology problems.
• Provide senior technical guidance and help colleagues understand and solve complex issues.
• Work with a worldwide developer community and provide L2 support.

Requirements

• 15+ years of programming experience, including at least 5 years of Java development.
• At least 5 years of experience building cloud-native applications with AWS.
• Experience with Spring, Apache libraries, complex technology stacks, Kafka, and real-time messaging systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with Apache Flink; deep understanding is desired.
• Expert SQL and database query skills.
• Strong analytical, independent learning, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Python and TypeScript experience.
