Senior Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, USA, or San Francisco, CA, USA. The in-office policy requires four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office; a fully remote program is also available.

Salary: $130,000–$250,000 base annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Reduce security risks and attack surface across infrastructure and corporate applications.
• Perform security reviews of mobile, backend, cloud, and API systems.
• Conduct penetration testing and threat modeling.
• Embed security practices into the software development life cycle.
• Build automation, security tooling, integrations, and guardrails.
• Improve vulnerability detection and remediation workflows while partnering with engineering, product, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 2–6+ years of experience in security or software engineering.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with AWS or GCP and APIs.
• Understanding of application and cloud security fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and integrations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, plus interest in scaling security work with AI.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI to security workflows.
• Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Mobile security experience with iOS or Android.
• Penetration testing or bug bounty experience.
• Familiarity with GRC tools and frameworks.
