Senior Fullstack Developer (Customs Modernization)

What you will do

• Design and build integrations with national customs systems such as ASYCUDA/SYDONIA and port-community data sources.
• Develop internal tools, verification consoles, reporting interfaces, and software connected to external trade-data sources.
• Gather requirements from customs administrations, port authorities, government technical teams, vendors, and operations stakeholders.
• Implement secure, resilient, offline-tolerant data exchange between field inspection, headquarters analysis, and government interfaces.
• Establish the architecture, APIs, and engineering standards for a digital single-window platform supporting e-declarations, automated duty and tax, e-payment, and traceability.
• Own code quality, testing, documentation, environments, deployment, monitoring, and production collaboration with data science teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining full-stack applications.
• Modern JavaScript or TypeScript frontend experience, a mainstream backend stack such as Node, Python, Java, or .NET, and relational database expertise.
• Experience integrating external systems, legacy platforms, APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, data feeds, or operational data sources.
• Strong database design, query optimization, data validation, and transactional-data modeling skills.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, encryption, data protection, audit logging, and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Ability to design for constrained connectivity and collaborate with non-technical, government, data science, operations, and field stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with ASYCUDA/SYDONIA, customs, single-window, trade, logistics, port-community, or government systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, workflow orchestration, or production monitoring.
• Exposure to e-payment, traceability, distributed ledgers, digital identity, secure transaction platforms, dashboards, verification consoles, or case-management tools.
• Working French.
