Specials Production Specialist (Cable Manufacturing)

Manufacturing organization producing special cables and managing integrated production and supply chain operations.

What you will do

• Create and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term production schedules for a portfolio of special cable products.
• Balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and inventory targets to support service levels.
• Monitor production run rates, line performance, capacity constraints, and bottlenecks, adjusting plans as needed.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Customer Care, Materials Planning, Production, Logistics, Shift Coordinators, and production teams.
• Support recovery plans after downtime, delays, or demand changes and lead daily production planning reviews.
• Track OTD, ATP, schedule adherence, inventory, capacity utilization, and other planning KPIs while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in production planning, supply chain planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in cable manufacturing or a similar process manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of POMS or equivalent manufacturing planning systems.
• APICS, CPIM, or an equivalent supply chain qualification.
• Experience with inventory optimization and KPI management.
