Electrical Test Technician

Location: Dallas, Texas, USA

Manufactures customized power distribution and protection systems, including relay and control panels, medium-voltage switchgear, and power/control buildings.

What you will do

• Perform electrical testing of products during manufacturing according to established procedures.
• Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to test main electrical distribution systems.
• Test HVAC, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm, battery, and cable systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to complete testing accurately and on schedule.
• Troubleshoot assembly, wiring, and testing problems.
• Prepare technical reports and recommend modifications to correct production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical testing or a related field.
• Knowledge of three-phase AC and DC control circuit testing.
• Working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment, electrical safety procedures, and NEC codes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for preparing test reports and proposals.
